WordPress Developer

Trial / freelance basis, with potential to become an ongoing role Dublin / hybrid (remote considered)

New Graphic is looking for a WordPress developer to work with us on a trial basis initially, helping to build, update and support websites for cultural organisations, public bodies, charities and design-led clients.

We are a Dublin-based design and communications studio working across branding, websites, publications, exhibitions and digital projects. Our web work is mostly built in WordPress, with a focus on clean design implementation, accessibility, responsive layouts and easy-to-manage content systems.

You would be working with our senior dev.

Deadline to apply COB 21st August.

You will support our design and development team across a range of website projects. This may include:

  • Turning supplied designs into clean, responsive front-end layouts
  • Testing websites across desktop, tablet and mobile
  • Fixing layout, styling and browser issues
  • Supporting accessibility improvements
  • Helping with website launches, content migration and general support tasks

You will not be expected to lead projects on your own at the start. We are looking for someone reliable, careful and keen to learn.

  • Strong HTML and CSS
  • JavaScript / jQuery
  • Understanding of responsive web design

Essential — ways of working:

  • Ability to follow a design closely, with good attention to detail

The arrangement

The role begins on a paid trial basis. If it works well for both sides, we’d hope to extend it into an ongoing role. We’re flexible on exact hours, but we’re looking for someone who can commit to a reliable number of days each week — roughly [3–5 days per week] to start.
